A Citizen Science project on air quality in the city of Zurich
Scientific findings from developmental psychology and educational research often only reach a specialised audience, even though they concern us all. The BOLD platform of the Jacobs Foundation aims to address this issue. It makes findings from the fields of development, education, and learning accessible to a broad audience.
As part of this collaboration, catta created animated short videos to expand the existing content of the platform. This tested a new form of science communication and significantly expanded the platform's target audience. Catta was responsible for the animations' storytelling and coordinating the many people involved.
Topics such as learning processes, developmental psychology and education: These are topics that may seem abstract, but they affect every family. Visualisations and animations make these complex connections accessible and understandable.
This multimedia approach sparks interest, promotes understanding and significantly contributes to raising awareness and educating people about learning and development. Topics were carefully selected and content precisely prepared in close collaboration with experts and the Jacobs Foundation.
The videos raise awareness of the importance of child development and learning processes, and stimulate discussions about educational policy and practice.
Ultimately, the project aims to improve educational opportunities and conditions for children and young people.
