Six years – that sounds like routine, like well-established processes. But honestly: Our everyday life is colorful, lively, and demanding.
We have...
... buried underwear,
... distributed ice cream on urban heat islands,
... used strawberries to investigate fine dust,
... curated exhibitions,
... initiated a network for more sustainability in Swiss museums
... and realized many other exciting projects in science communication and citizen science.
With all these projects, we have been able to contribute to making scientific or complex topics accessible to a broader audience with a pinch of humor.
And yet we realize: When you are always active and the company is growing, the view forward eventually becomes blurred. So after six years, we pause and start a strategy process. Not because something isn't working, but because we know: Such a process is not a luxury - it's necessary self-care. It is the prerequisite to remain sustainable, creative, and effective.
So into the strategy process..
In addition to countless meetings, we asked ourselves with the whole team in a workshop with Miriam Gantert in August: Who actually is catta? What defines us? Why does one work with us? Which tasks truly bring us joy? And what do our dream assignments and projects look like?
It was an intensive morning – and it showed: We share a common vision that goes in the same direction for all of us. 💜
We don't necessarily want to grow. We mainly want to create. To commit to meaningful projects. To try new things. To be brave – and also allowed to fail sometimes.
The world is changing. Science communication is becoming more diverse, citizen science is growing. We don't just want to react – we want to co-create. For that, we need a strategy that suits us and makes us excited about the future.
Do you also want to be brave, try new things, and help shape the future of science communication? Then you know where to contact us 😉.
